A Downtown Development Authority (DDA) encourages economic growth, historic preservation and revitalization of the local downtown district by implementing development plans and strategies to prevent deterioration and promote economic growth within a business district by developing, adopting, and implementing development plans. There is no cost to the taxpayer.
The Melrose Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was established in 2004. The DDA stretches from Bear River to the Walloon Lake Inn to Ingalls Country Store.
